Inserco proudly presents HUECK Design

Dear customers and business associates,

The company Hueck has been a close partner of Inserco for many decades. Hueck’s products have always been defined by their reliability, creativity and extraordinarily high level of quality.

We are very pleased to be able to make an important contribution to the future orientation of our customers with the new services from Hueck Design. Digital data and the expert processing and preparation of such data is of key importance in the printing of decorative surfaces, whether it be for producing decorative papers or finishing boards in direct printing processes.

In light of the possibilities that digital printing methods already offer our customers today, Hueck Design is a competent, experienced partner to have at our side when it comes to successfully using the new technologies and enhancing your product portfolio.

Below, Maike Marx, team leader for decor development, presents the work of the Hueck Design team in more detail. We get a very interesting insight into the comprehensive design options that are available.

Be inspired by the diverse possibilities that you can draw on for the design of your new finishes and textures.

Allow us to introduce: Maike Marx, team leader for decor development

“I’m thrilled for be able to present Hueck Design.

I work for this company since 2019. As a media designer by trade, my job includes the design of layouts for the flooring and furniture industry. I was made acting team leader in August 2022. My area of responsibility has grown accordingly.

So far I can say that I really enjoy being in closer communication with both our customers and my colleagues. It’s great to get out from behind the keyboard – now along with my regular working environment I am also out visiting customers and attending trade shows.”

I look forward to future cooperation in order to get to know new products and people.

From raw material to finished surface – how things work at Hueck Design

One specialisation with a lot of options on offer.

At Hueck Design, we draw our inspiration from nature, trends and trade shows.
As soon as an idea is there, we buy the materials. From tree trunk to textiles. There is a wide range of possibilities. We are not afraid to tread the path untrodden, moving far away from the classic oak towards tropical wood varieties. In doing so we show our customers the diversity of the wood that exists on the earth.

Our in-house carpenters treat the wood and give the individual boards a very special look. Thanks to the varied processes involved, every piece of wood gets its own unique look. We then scan the individual boards/pieces with the Cruse large format scanner. Versatile scan results can be achieved thanks to the different light settings.

At our workstations, we use the scanned boards and design them with a decorative finish. In doing so, we create furniture and flooring layouts. The difference lies in the dimensions and the number of boards. We refine the layout on the computer in advance by reducing or removing interfering areas. We also adjust the colour to give the material its final look before the new decor is presented to the customer.

Our customers are kept up to date on our news thanks to a quarterly newsletter. We also attend trade shows and enjoy presenting our decorative finishes to customers in person.

After the customer has chosen a finish, we then adapt the layout to taste. As we are an independent studio, the customer can choose where, and with how many colours, the decorative finish is to be printed.
We help the customer prepare the data ready for printing. This includes pattern repeating, a process whereby the boards are designed with an endlessly repeating pattern.

We also perform colour separation. For this, the individual channels, which later represent a separate cylinder each, are separated. These special colours are created so that the customers can define different colour combinations themselves at a later stage.

For gravure printing, we create as many individual colours as cylinders are requested. There is also the possibility of buying the RGB data, the layout without separations, for our customers. For this printing method, you do not need a static printing form and can transfer the layout directly to the printing machine using the file.

Colour is not everything

Surface design also includes texture, which gives the surface its finish through depth or a glossy or matte look.

At Hueck Design, we also offer the development of embossing data.
One of our key strengths is the development of synchronised textures.

The result: decor and embossing data ready for using, all from a single source
