Inserco is a sponsor of the 12th European Wood-based Panel Symposium in Hamburg from 12 to 14 October

We strive to accompany the latest technologies in the wood-based materials industry and to introduce them to our customers, and it is on this basis that Inserco joined the Wood-based Panel Symposium as a sponsor, one of the most important hubs for sharing technological developments and necessities.

With around 20 lectures and an audience of around 400 industry visitors from all around the world, a special focus was put on the topics of recycling for MDP and MDF as well as modernised, environmentally friendly production processes in the wood-based materials industry.

The industry is expecting a considerable increase in recycling quotas in the area of chipboard in the coming 2–3 years, as well as a phase of intensive development regarding the topic of MDF recycling over the same period. The aim of building up a significant recycling quota in the area of MDF in as little as four years is an ambitious one.

The developments required for this are currently being driven by wood-based material manufacturers, machine builders and specialist institutes. Inserco is working together with various partners to make such developments directly available to the Latin American wood-based materials industry.

Inserco will be exhibiting at the Ligna trade fair in May 2023 and is already expecting further progress in the area of project development by then. We would like to invite our international business partners to join the discussion on these developments and start up a dialogue on the topic with Inserco.

Another focus of the symposium was once again the topic of process reliability and environmental friendliness. The topic of formaldehyde was already a subject of intense discussion at the previous symposium four years ago. This time, it was once again a key topic, as was melamine, and relevant filter systems and technological adjustments were discussed in the seminar.

The same goes for the exhaust situation. In the area of VOC and TVOC, critical values were discussed and a very interesting lecture was held in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute/WKI. Inserco focusses on solutions both in the area of filter technology and further developed production processes in order to be able to present these at Ligna 2023.

Another segment is the field of surface finishing. Inserco has already accompanied and accelerated significant developments here.

In addition to the large-scale distribution of MFC systems in the Latin American market over the past 35 years and the associated development of structures and technologies for the production of melamine panels with the companies Wemhöner, Hueck and Deurotech, the focus on this segment has been further intensified. Inserco accompanies market-leading developments in digital printing, new overlay technologies and solutions in the super matt and anti-fingerprint segment.

The aim of this further development of our portfolio is to live up to our standard of supporting our business partners with the latest available technologies.

We look forward to the Interzum trade fair in Cologne in May 2023.

We invite our customers and all interested parties to continue to follow the specialist contributions in the field, the key content of which we will be sharing with our valued customers in parallel to this report.

We were very pleased to see lots of positive input at the symposium which will translate to important technological developments for our industry in the years to come.

The topics addressed will play key roles to that end. The clearly defined goals of a significantly higher recycling quota, resource-friendly production possibilities and ecological production processes will all act as new stimuli for our markets. At the same time, completely new finishing processes in the area of digital printing as well as new technologies for anti-fingerprint and super matt surfaces for dynamic and creative marketing approaches are also of utmost interest.

Inserco is happy to answer any questions and will of course get in touch with you with any updates. Questions?

Feel free to contact ralf.bergmann@inserco.de concerning project topics and anja.grabnitzki@inserco.de concerning surface finishing topics. Furthermore, the whole Inserco team will be happy to help with any questions or requests. We look forward to hearing from you!

Kind regards,

Ralf Bergmann
